Brief PROJECT Overview

The summer intern will work on cross functional teams throughout USP and especially within the Facilities Department to assist with both building services and environment, health, and safety projects. This position will aid in coordinating site relocation efforts of employees and helping to track project deliverables related to the increase in onsite expectations for staff.

The summer intern will gather, review, edit, analyze, and share department information using various communications channels including SharePoint features, internal communications newsletters and kiosks, and department meetings.

You will create impact at USP by making our department information more visible and easily accessible as well as more useful and interactive. You will also be a liaison between the Facilities Department and employees as they move into new work environments. Please read the full description for qualifications.

Who USP is Looking For?

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices along with the following competencies and experience:

  • Interest and ability in analyzing information and processes in order to make them more user friendly, accessible, and useful
  • Project management experience or evidence of successful planning, coordination, tracking, and/or implementation of deliverable results
  • SharePoint experience, especially intranet portal design and maintenance
  • A/V background, interest, or skills
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Facilities Operations or Management; Environment, Health, and Safety; or other relevant fields such as Business and Management and the sciences
