Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and QA counterparts on functional design and analysis of requirements
  • Design and develop a product in a metadata-based development environment
  • Develop and maintain robust, efficient and maintainable code using an OO language and support tools 
  • Build and enhance reliable automated tests
  • Resolve customer reported issues
  • Learn from other team members through pair programming, code reviews, technical reviews, hackathons and shared communication tools

About You

About You

Basic Qualifications:

Senior Software Development Engineer

  • 8+ years of experience as a software engineer or application development engineer
  • 5+ years of experience in an Object-oriented (OO) design and development language such as Java, Scala, C#, Xpresso, object-oriented design patterns, class modeling, and XML technology.
  • 3+ years of experience with design and development of REST API

Software Development Engineer

  • 5+ years experience with Web application development or SaaS (Software as a Service); UML is a plus.
  • 3+ years Object-oriented design and development experience in an OO language (such as Java, Python, C#, C++, XO, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience with design and development of REST API

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience in building large scale enterprise business applications (in the area of Financials is preferred)
  • Experience working on analyzing and debugging Performance logs is a huge plus
  • Metadata-driven definitional development experience.
  • Experience with XML and integration technologies and agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar relevant degree

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
