You are

An experienced Content Marketing people leader who is passionate about the employee benefits business and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth-business environment. You bring the latest digital marketing best practices and campaign workflow management approaches. A business-savvy professional, you understand how important marketing, product and sales alignment is to business growth. Comfortable with subject matter authorities, executives, and peers, you’re able to collaborate across departments to transform conceptual thinking into executable insights, define customer segmentation opportunities and create differentiating sales enablement tools.

You have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • MBA preferred
  • A minimum 10-15 years of progressive management experience in content and/or product marketing roles in B2B2C industries that had significant involvement with various sales channels that served small, medium, and large company markets.
  • Previous experience working in the healthcare and/or insurance industries preferred.
  • Deep understanding of content strategy, full-funnel customer content journey mapping, and SEO, including tactical experience
  • Proven experience in sales enablement, proposals and presentations
  • Proven experience and success in developing competitive-differentiated unique value propositions and messaging hierarchy for branding initiatives and new product launches.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience and proven results creating content for account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics through enticing copy and narratives.
  • Proficiency in campaign project management workflow systems such as Welcome, Workfront, etc.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a high-performance, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead, manage, influence, motivate and negotiate across the company with various stakeholders at all levels; Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work and lead cross-functionally.

You will

  • Develop cohesive strategy and produce engaging content across a variety of written and multimedia formats (website, email, sales materials, proposals, etc.).
  • Lead and motivate a team of creative professionals, including writers, sales enablement designers, proposal content strategists and content marketing media specialists.
  • Serve as go-to content strategist for Group Benefits Marketing.
  • Lead content marketing customer journey mapping sessions to identify and develop the most effective content for each stage of the buyer’s journey throughout the campaign.
  • Monitor and ensure the voice of the customer is woven throughout content marketing materials.
  • Optimize content for SEO and oversee/implement best practices to improve search rankings.
  • Oversee and steer content direction for an accelerated social media and social selling strategy.
  • Assess content performance metrics and ROI for continuous optimization and data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to craft messaging for product launches, sales proposal responses and sales enablement assets.
  • Assume a subject matter expert (SME) role on the team, deeply understanding Guardian’s brand, differentiators, key audience targets and their difficulties.
  • Drive the strategy & development of 360 marketing campaigns across all media types that drive brand awareness, demand generation, and sales growth.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of content strategies.
  • Regularly analyze and report on the performance of content initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Expertly manage and continuously optimize team and campaign workflows, prioritization and time management, using campaign project management software
  • Bring original thinking in innovating new ways to reach, engage and convert target customers.
  • Run an editorial content calendar and ensure timely publication of content across various channels.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Marketing teams across all channels and for top-of-funnel marketing.

Reporting Relationships

  • As our Head of Content Marketing, you will report to our Chief Marketing Officer for the Group Benefits business division.

Location

  • The primary location for this position is New York, NY (Hudson Yards), Bethlehem, PA, or Holmdel, NJ with a requirement for 3 days in the office each week.

Travel

  • 5% Travel required for this position to attend quarterly in-person meetings at Hudson Yards in New York, NY and occasionally proposal or marketing meetings in Bethlehem, PA. A few sentences about the position here…

Salary Range

$126,970.00 - $208,600.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
