Human Resources Senior Leader - Talent Acquisition and Retention

The Talent Acquisition and Retention Leader will work in partnership with other motivated leaders including our Director of Recruiting, Vice President of Human Resources, and our Executive Leadership Team to achieve our vision for excellence and our growth goals.

Job Overview: As the firm’s Talent Acquisition and Retention Leader, you will be tasked with cultivating and retaining top-tier talent to drive organizational success. Your effectiveness will be measured by your contribution to ensuring that DEA has the talent in place to achieve our growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
  • Lead, guide, support, and develop DEA’s talented Recruitment and HR Business Partner teams, creating the conditions in which they can do their best work.
  1. Talent Acquisition and Talent Retention Strategies:
  • Collaborate with human resources and executive leaders to align talent strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement innovative talent initiatives with a strong focus on employee retention.
  1. Recruitment and Staffing:
  • Support the recruitment team in identifying and implementing effective talent acquisition approaches and processes with a focus on long-term employee engagement.
  1. Succession Planning:
  • Develop and execute succession planning strategies to identify and nurture high-potential talent within the organization.
  • Ensure a pipeline of qualified internal candidates, contributing to long-term employee commitment.
  1. Employee Engagement and Retention:
  • In partnership with HR Business Partners and business unit leadership, implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and ongoing career progression.
  • Develop and execute targeted retention strategies to mitigate turnover.
  1. Employee Relations:
  • Support HR Business Partners navigating employee relations issues, ensuring alignment with best practices as a preferred employer and employment regulations.
  1. Workforce Analytics:
  • Utilize workforce analytics to measure and improve employee retention.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support strategic workforce planning with a focus on employee longevity.
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure talent and retention strategies are integrated into broader business plans.
  • Communicate talent initiatives and retention outcomes to the executive team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with others to implement a shared vision for functions that matter to effective recruitment and retention, e.g. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), Leadership Development, Learning and Development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience in human resources leadership roles with a strong focus on talent acquisition and retention.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align talent initiatives with business objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong ethical and values-driven leadership.
  • Adaptable and able to navigate change in a dynamic business environment.
  • Preferred location: western U.S.
