Our People team at Sigma Computing is looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic HR Operations Graduate Intern to join us for our Summer 2024 Internship Program in San Francisco. We are looking for a student currently pursuing their Masters in a HR, Organizational Psych, or related field who is excited to get hands-on experience with a growing HR team in tech. In this role, you will partner with our Human Resource Business Partner and tackle unique employee challenges and dynamic people related projects across our Technical and Go To Market (GTM) business groups. This is a great opportunity for a student interested in growing a career within the HR, People Operations, DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion), or Talent Acquisition departments.

Internship Program Qualifications:

  • Current student
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a university graduate degree program in the U.S with a graduation date of December 2024 or later
  • Able to intern from June 2024 through early September 2024 in person in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the US during the Summer 2024 program
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for our internship positions, but we welcome applicants on a student visa (with authorization to work in the U.S.) to apply
  • Location: 
  • Our internships are in-person and located within San Francisco, CA. Relocation assistance will be provided for students who will need to relocate for the Summer in the form of a relocation bonus. 
  • Applicants must be able to work in-person in our office in San Francisco, CA 4 days per week. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with key HR activities including talent (performance) review cycles, creating process documentation, and playbooks for our leaders across Sigma to utilize with talent reviews for their departments
  • Provide people operations analytics support to help our HR and Ops leaders strategically make decisions around how we hire, retain, and grow our talent
  • Research various HR topics and industry-leading practices.
  • Support our HR Operations group with new hire onboarding tasks, benefits, and leave management
  • Partner with our HRBP to strategically develop retention and employee engagement best practices across the org
  • Provide assistance with our HRIS (ADP) administration and maintaining the backend of our People programs

Qualifications

  • Current graduate student studying Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Communications, or business-related degree with a passion for HR or organizational psychology preferred 
  • Able to intern full-time in our San Francisco, CA office during the Summer 2024 period
  • Attention to details; proactive and willing to take on new challenges and partner with our leadership team across Sigma
  • Strong communication skills, systematic thinking, and interest in HR data and analytics 
  • Experience and proficiency in Google for Work apps (Google Drive, Docs, Calendar, etc)
  • Previous work experience or internships in related HR fields is a plus.
  • Responsible and positive work attitude with ability to deal with challenging tasks in a fast-paced environment

Additional Job details

Interns at Sigma are compensated with an hourly rate and relocation bonus (where applicable). Our hourly rate for this role is $35.00 - $40.00 per hour.
