About The Role:

As part of Gallagher's global digital experience team, the Content SEO/PPC Analyst is a new role to support our global SEO and PPC strategy across brands.

It's an exciting time to be a part of our Corporate Digital Marketing team as Gallagher continues to grow and evolve the business and we are on a digital transformation journey – no two days are ever alike. Gallagher’s Corporate Digital Team works across Gallagher’s family of brands and regions to create a consistent digital experience for our customers to drive leads.

You will report into the SEO/PPC Global Lead on the Digital Experience team. We are a global team of Content (Strategy and Writers), SEO, Marketing and UX Research and Design professionals within Corporate Digital Marketing. Under the Global SEO/PPC Lead, you will help to manage Gallagher and our family of brands online reputation responding to reviews and escalating to team members globally.

About You:

  • You have demonstrated experience writing and editing content that is informative, compelling and relevant for global enterprise brands - both on-page and off-page for B2B and B2C audiences for SEO and PPC.
  • You conduct keyword research and recommend keywords that are relevant to the business that will increase visibility and rankings on search engines and attracting high-authority backlinks.
  • You have developed and edited content with a focus on SEO in both US and UK English and have also supported PPC ad copy and align content to enterprise style guides.
  • You’re inquisitive and have conducted competitive analyses to understand competitors and identify opportunities to rank higher on search engines.
  • You have demonstrated experience using a variety of tools for SEO needs that include but are not limited to seoClarity, SEMRush, Google’s suite of tools from Analytics and AdWords to Data Studio and Search Console.
  • You’re a self-starter who is comfortable working independently as well as on the project team.
  • You are flexible and organized and must be able to keep multiple projects moving forward at the same time. 
  • You are collaborative with the team and inquisitive to ask questions.
  • You are excited to learn new tools and systems and can quickly adapt to using them in.
  • You’re flexible to meet with global stakeholder and agency partners.

Responsibilities

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Creates compelling SEO content to drive search traffic through SEO best practices aligned to global SEO strategy including but not limited to: creating and optimizing compelling copy for all page types on our digital properties from headings and summaries to title and image tags and, of course, meta descriptions to increase rankings that aligns to product and service offerings across search engines.
  • Develops ad copy and format content for overall campaign optimization to achieve campaign goals for each area of the business.
  • Works with our content team to write, edit and optimize content across brands and identifies opportunities to test content with them.
  • Conducts continuous keyword research to support products and services across the spectrum of insurance, risk management and consulting services.
  • Monitors keyword performance across brands and regions and develops reporting to identify opportunities to increase rankings.
  • Assist with creating and presenting status reports, insights and opportunities to stakeholders, ongoing optimization of campaigns in flight, setting up new campaigns, and helping meet lead generation and pipeline goals for paid search.
  • Manage multiple projects and keep team and manager informed of status and any blockers.
  • Support the Global SEO/SEM Lead with additional strategy implementation and other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Your Background and Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in content writing and keyword research for the insurance/financial industry for both US and UK English.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated expertise adopting writing styles for brands and products. You are both data-driven and creative.
  • Proven experience at keyword placement for SEO best practices with knowledge of content marketing, SEO and analytics, and social media.
  • Google Analytics and Google Data Studio expertise with enterprise tools such as SEMRush and seoClarity.
  • Passion for digital marketing and complete understanding of online marketing metrics like ROI, CTR, CPC, CPA, CVR, etc
  • Excellent and presentation skills with experience providing solutions to problems.
  • Flexible and desire to work within a global enterprise supporting different brands.
  • Critical thinking and able to solve problems and propose solutions.
  • Strong analytics skills – data-driven to measure the effectiveness and story teller with the data.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple stakeholders and maintaining relationships.
  • Experience working in an agile environment with developing and evolving workflows.
  • Stays current with industry trends, best practices and shares with team.
