JR23118 Product Development Engineer

The general responsibilities of the position are the following:

Plan, Develop, Conduct, And Monitor Product Testing And Results

• Create and develop the test programs for SpecTek products.
• Conduct tests; gather and analyze data; document results and tests using feedback from performance in the intended application to tune the testing methodology.
• Monitor product performance on the test floor, and maintain the program for yield improvements/enhancements, test time reduction, new capabilities, and manufacturing process changes.
• Document and provide feedback of test results to stakeholders.

Maintain Quality Through All Aspects Of Development

• Monitor/evaluate yields to ensure delivery of quality products.
• Ensure all test programs, scripts, or any other software are tested and debugged prior to a production release.
• Communicate and report findings with SpecTek management and engineering in a concise and effective format.
• Practice production quality standards as specified by SpecTek and Micron.

Develop And Maintain Product/Testing Platform Knowledge

• Develop and maintain device/part knowledge as well as equipment and systems knowledge.
• Develop and maintain knowledge on different testing platform and test processes.
• Collaborate with other departments worldwide to develop and maintain product knowledge or technology.
• Use tools and technology to increase the efficiency of the testing process as well as to improve reliability and drive cost reduction.

Support Manufacturing and Develop/Improve Test Process

• Investigate manufacturing issues related to Probe and Test processes and identify and implement solutions.
• Manage hold lots and provide disposition promptly.
• Identify the root cause of the issue, ensure containment, and ensure that a corrective action is implemented in a timely manner.
• Utilize/Improve tools/guidelines to effectively support manufacturing, quality, reliability and processes as well as to drive cost reduction.
• Identify patentable inventions, make timely disclosures of patentable inventions, and keep proper records for obtaining a patent.

Support And Perform EHSS Responsibilities

• Encourage and enforce safe, compliant behavior through periodic communications and the performance management process.
• Review and respond to reports from supervisory, EHSS staff and auditors.
• Perform work area inspections and observations of their operations.
• Maintain area procedures and training required to ensure legal compliance and conformance to management system.
