Tri Pointe Homes is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our talented group as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst.

Position Highlights: Under general direction of the Director of Business Intelligence, the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will focus on data analysis, requirements, testing, training end users, dashboards, and reporting. The business intelligence team will implement and support new data marts, dashboards, and reporting to serve business intelligence across all functions of the organization. You will partner closely with the business, developers, and contractors while helping set and enforce high quality standards. This highly visible role will have the opportunity to support end-user, dashboards and present training to serve business of all audience levels to provide analytics, insights, interactivity, and a great user experience. You will be highly motivated to produce quality solutions with the ability to work on multiple projects at a time. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with all levels of the business, learning the business, while being an advocate for technical data solutions
  • Willing to learn and become Subject Matter Expert (SME) of multiple business functions' data and data sources across the organization
  • Hands-on testing and leading System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Develop scalable, automated dashboards, reporting and visualization to provide benchmarking and progress against key performance goals and initiatives
  • Strong data analysis, testing of development, understanding of data relationships
  • Develop and implement processes to serve our end users around data governance such as user provisioning and maintaining documentation
  • Handles support tickets for the Business Intelligence team; interacts with end users in-person and through phone calls and web conferences
  • Learn and become support SME of data tools such as Neustar and Metrostudy to understand customer segmentation and drive land acquisition and marketing strategy
  • Teach and train technical and business concepts to audiences of different levels
  • Creates and maintains documentation to support our solutions and the business (FAQs, trainings, presentations, requirements, business definitions)
  • Maintains product backlog
  • 40% Project / 40% User Support / 20% Admin, Personal & Team Improvement

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, or engineering
  • 5+ years’ experience in business intelligence, data engineering, and/or analytics
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Ability to read and write SQL
  • Technical knowledge enterprise reporting technologies (Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS)
  • Knowledgeable in dashboarding and data visualization techniques
  • Understanding of RDBMS / Data Warehouse platforms, on-premise and in the cloud (SQL Server, Oracle, AWS, Azure, Snowflake)
  • Understanding of enterprise data sources such as CRM, ERP technologies (Salesforce, JDE, OneStream)
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working in a quick moving, dynamic team that is constantly iterating and improving their own work
  • Strong written presentational skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Google sheets)
  • Capable of operating in both traditional and agile project methodologies
  • Ability to work with web-based tools that deliver real-time consumer insights to drive customer acquisition, and improve local marketing strategies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to continually learn new concepts and technologies and effectively apply them
  • Believes in continuous improvement of solutions and self; learning and teaching mentality
  • Sharp attention to detail and data accuracy

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: The expected base salary range for this position is between $103,000-140,000 per year, depending on experience and skillset. Base Salary is paid bi-weekly, every other Friday.
  • Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual performance-based cash bonus. Bonuses are earned, calculated and paid in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Company’s applicable incentive plan document.
