Job Description

We are seeking for a new marketing Data Analyst to generate new insight on consumers, competitors and competitive advantages. 

The aim of such analysis is to grow our business by new customers and increasing our share of wallet with new and existing customers all in an efficient and effective way.

This is a key role within our wider Marketing Strategy set-up and involve working closely with senior stakeholders including the CMO, Regional Marketing Directors, Heads of Acquisition and Content, respectively.

What will you do?

The focus of the role, day-to-day, is to generate new insight for Marketing leaders to build communications and campaigns around; to analyse existing communications and campaigns for their strengths and weaknesses; and to highlight emerging trends in our wider consumer and competitor landscape.

  • We do this by focusing on internal data, complemented by external data sets purchased from vendors such as Similar Web...
  • … and linking our analysis to work from adjacent teams, primarily Research, Data Science and Dealing
  • The role requires collaboration within the team and the Marketing department, but also with providers and users of data such as Data Engineering, Finance, Product and Strategy
  • This role involves not only working on requests but also contributing to larger team-led projects that require collaboration and a strategic mindset
  • In your day-to-day work you will primarily use SQL, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint

Essential skills:

  • A degree in a subject that requires structured and analytical thinking
  • Experience as a data analyst or similar position c.a. 3 yrs
  • Strong skills and experience with SQL and Excel. Experience using Python for data analysis / manipulation
  • An interest and enthusiasm for understanding and linking data to commercial context and outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to present analysis in clear ways to communicate complex messages to both technical and non-technical audience

Desirable:

  • Experience using Google Analytics and BigQuery
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Looker
  • Foundation knowledge of marketing data analysis techniques and tools, KPIs setting methodologies, segmentation and clustering of audiences
