Job Title: Sales Engineer - Northwest Kazakhstan

Purpose of Role: The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales and performance in their region market, with focus on achieving business targets (revenue, profit, and market share growth). The Sales Engineer helps define and execute sales strategies to maximize market potential and sales growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving and delivering key financial results; expanding core and complementary products and services, and maximizing sales year-over-year, while ensuring and maintaining appropriate profit margins
  • Responsible for providing professional and efficient customer service: providing accurate quotations, understanding customer pain points and providing product recommendations, troubleshooting and problem solving customer issues, and actively creating new opportunities
  • Maintains and updates strategic business plans; routinely meets with the management group to develop sales strategies and goals to support local markets
  • Supports inventories demand planning, working directly with Supply Chain to meet inventory targets

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or other related field required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ sales, commercial or market growth experience required
  • Five+ years’ industry-related experience in sales or operations for mining industry
  • Requires strong computer skills, utilizing an ERP system and MS Office software
  • Knowledge of Russian, Kazakh and English (min B2)

Additional Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to create and foster excellent customer rapport and relationships
  • Passion for Safety
  • Ability to coordinate demand planning needs with the customers
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be comfortable working in office, shop, warehouse, and mine-site environments
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% domestically to visit customers, vendors, and regional headquarters
  • Must be authorized to permanently work in Kazakhstan without sponsorship
  • Strong preference given to individuals with experience leading and developing teams, as well as individuals with operations experience in maintenance and repair
