Description:
Qualifications Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience Minimum of 3 years of experience designing industrial controls in a CAD environment Knowledge of design of controls and controllers such as Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Knowledge of electrical controls terminology Knowledge of NFPA 70 National Electric Code, NFPA 79 and other electrical/safety standards Excellent verbal and written communication skills The Electrical Engineer II works with the overall project team to document systems •Designs and drafts control systems for material handling solutions using AutoCAD Electrical •Drawing sets include device layout drawings, control schematics, panel layouts, and network and installation details •Works closely with project leads to design schematic drawing sets based on project requirements •Designs system layouts, network layouts, and installation details •Prepares schematics and panel layouts for control panel fabrication •Creates bills of material for panels •Coordinates ordering of field materials and panels •Prints, plots, and assembles drawing sets for electrician bids, stamping, and field installation •Identifies and implements automation tools within the department to improve efficiency •Updates drawings to "as-built" status at project completion •Active participant in the team's overall objectives
