Sr. Account Executive - Non-Commercial, Canada (Greater Toronto Area preferred, Remote Eligible)

OVERVIEW

As the Sr National Account Executive, Non-Commercial, you will be responsible for leading our Canadian business with our Non-Commercial/GPO partners including but not limited to Aramark/Avendra, Sodexo/Entegra, and Compass/Foodbuy. As the Channel lead, you will own the business results, the development of short- and long-term growth strategies, building multi-tiered relationships while driving alignment and execution within the General Mills foodservice organization.

As the Sr NAE, Non-Commercial, you will be responsible for exceeding both top and bottom-line growth expectations, while growing share, and helping our customers and General Mills exceed our mutual goals. This will be accomplished by establishing contracts that enable the activation of our growth strategies, along with the driving the execution of the plan in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

To succeed this leader will need a passion for the business, the tenacity to dig deeper for solutions, an understanding of the Canadian and North American marketplace and the agility to succeed no matter the barriers.

This is a demanding, multi-faceted role that will take a very high level of commitment, attention to detail and ownership that will give the winning candidate who excels in the role a suite of tools that will help them at the next level.

The Non-Commercial, Sr NAE will collaborate closely with Marketing, Finance, Trade, Sales Communication & Analytics, and Field Sales to maximize the growth potential of the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Deliver program, exceed growth of volume, share and profit.
  • Ensure the full utilization of the Trade budget to drive business.
  • Leverage all cross functional teams and tools including Category Management, Consumer Insights, Marketing, Trade, and Field Sales activation to drive growth staying within business guardrails.
  • Understand the current business via analysis of data, field gather insights, industry interaction and a keen understanding of, and ability to activate the key levers that will drive the business moving forward.
  • Serve as the lead for all aspects of the Canada Non-Commercial Business including contract strategies and negotiations.
  • Work in concert with peers, including the other Sr NAEs, distribution & operator, and Brokers to ensure strong alignment and execution of business driving initiatives.
  • Lead beyond the business, creating and working in concert with others to drive total NAF short- and long-term growth.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7 -10 years’ experience
  • Ability to work independently and lead major accounts
  • External relationship experience
  • Canadian work authorization and must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 10 years' experience preferred – with interaction with the Non-Commercial channel in Canada at the national, regional or local level
  • Fluent in French
  • Proven ability to develop strategic plans, activate and deliver results.
  • Deep working knowledge of sales, trade investment and trade systems
  • Experience working with & influencing cross functional teams
  • Project management expertise
  • Ability to create and leverage relationships internally and externally
  • Strong business analytics with the ability to convert information into results
  • Elevated negotiations skills (GAP Negotiations Training)
