Get to Know the Team

  • The Communications team is responsible for telling the Grab story around the world. Whether it's speaking to media and online influencers, policymakers, industry commentators or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Grab.
  • The Communications team is a strategic partner and solution provider to the multiple business functions in Grab – to help them drive their business objectives. The team ensures that internal and external stakeholders understand and support Grab’s vision and business strategy, including corporate partnerships, new products, partner programmes, marketing campaigns and internal programmes.

Get to Know the Role

As the Communications Manager for Grab Thailand, you'll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across verticals, commercial, marketing, and public affairs teams. Your primary focus will be crafting and executing PR and communication strategies to drive business objectives, particularly within our Deliveries and Financial businesses. We're seeking someone with a robust background in corporate and brand communications, a deep understanding of Thailand's media landscape, and adeptness in fostering and managing crucial media relationships. Experience in crisis management is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute communication programs in line with Grab's vision and goals
  • Proactively identify and leverage publicity opportunities through various channels
  • Cultivate compelling media stories to bolster Grab Thailand's leadership position, with emphasis on Deliveries and Financial businesses
  • Forge and maintain strong ties with influential local media and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in Thailand
  • Navigate and mitigate reputational risks and manage responses to incidents or crises
  • Oversee PR agency activities according to the agreed communication plan and budget
  • Analyze metrics to gauge the efficacy and impact of PR efforts, refining strategies as needed

Qualifications

The must haves:

  • 8-10 years of experience in PR, corporate reputation management, brand communication, or related fields
  • Established relationships with top-tier media, KOLs, and thought leaders
  • Proficiency in both Thai and English (written and spoken)
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills 

The nice to haves:

  • Background in the consumer technology sector
  • Experience in high-growth environments
  • Previous roles in journalism or strategic communications consultancy
  • Familiarity with social media and integrated marketing communications 
  • Experience in multinational or global company
