What this opportunity involves: 

We are on the lookout for a Assistant Marketing Manager to join our team on behalf of JLL at Greensborough Plaza, we are seeking a Junior Candidate who is looking to develop their career. You will be responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager to ensure strategic focus and management of the Marketing Plan taking into account economic conditions, social and historical trends and ensuring strategic focus and management of the Promotional Plan, within the Marketing plan.

An overview of the role: 

  • Assist with the preparation of the Marketing Business Plan and budgets and the development of strategies to ensure all the objectives are achieved. Review on a quarterly basis.
  • Retailer Relations – maintain good working relationships with retailers through regular communication and meetings, both formal and informal. Be the first point of contact on the floor.
  • Customer Relations - create an environment for shoppers that offers industry Best Practice in customer service.
  • Community and Public Relations - maintain strong links with local council, Community Groups, Media, Schools, Clubs and Associations.
  • Strategic Planning – assist to analyse short term and long-term trends that may affect the future marketing of the Centre.
  • Advertising Agency - as required brief the Advertising Agency or media personnel in relation to advertising.
  • Centre Newsletter – formulate, produce and distribute a regular monthly newsletter as a communication tool between Centre Management and the Retailers.
  • Payment of Accounts – ensure all creditors are paid in a timely manner. Accounts to be authorised for payment in accordance with guidelines issued by the Centre Manager.
  • Petty Cash – ensure that on a weekly basis the Marketing Petty Cash is balanced and records and accounts are maintained and paid in accordance with guidelines issued by the Centre Manager.
  • Monthly Report – assist in the preparation of the Monthly Report in the specified format.
  • Category Meetings – coordinate category meetings if required for the Marketing Manager.
  • Casual Mall Leasing – administration of casual mall leasing and raffle tickets (unless contracted out). If contracted out review and liaise with contractor to ensure standards are maintained.

Marketing Degree (or in final year of study) or similar

Proven experience in a related field

Strong consumer and product awareness

Good organisational and planning skills

The ability to work on multiple projects at one time

The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Strong IT skills and social media

Good knowledge of marketing techniques
