Supply Chain Systems Support Specialist I – Data Quality Specialist

The Supply Chain Systems Support Specialist I – Data Quality Specialist focuses on ensuring the highest quality data is maintained from external providers. They monitor, test, and assure data quality, completeness, and validity from both internal and external sources, and manage all compliance and improvement of the same. They also additionally provide functional support for Supply Chain related applications with an emphasis on Transportation, Logistics, and Customer Service. They utilize enterprise applications that may include, but are not limited to Oracle OTM, EBS, EDI/SBI, and real time tracking (RTT) solutions such as FourKites.

Detailed Description

  • On boards and/or upgrades existing carriers to the EDI and RTT platforms
  • Test, monitor, and maintain the quality and validity of carrier submitted data
  • Identify, investigate and work with users and carriers to resolve data quality problems
  • Work with various teams to set data quality SLAs
  • Prepares monthly data quality reports for Senior Leadership
  • Become functionally proficient in all Supply Chain and Logistics related applications supported by the team
  • Proactively communicate/collaborate with internal and external customers/vendors to resolve issues and suggest process or functional improvements
  • Provide support, documentation and training to users
  • Test new functionality and play a significant role in implementations
  • Assist in developing and maintaining OTM, EBS, EDI and RTT data quality documentation and data dictionary
  • Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data using statistical tools and methodologies
  • Analyzes systematic data to govern, repair, enhance, maintain, interpret and make recommendations for data quality improvement activities
  • Interact and engage with internal clients, stakeholders and the EDI/RTT/TMS/ERP data vendors to review and prioritize data quality initiatives
  • Communicate and escalates issues to stakeholders for resolution.

Work Experience/KSA’s

  • Minimum:
  • 1 year – Years of Experience in IT, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing fields
  • 1 years – Data Quality Analyst/Specialist role in a large, multiple data source environment
  • experience may include a combination of work experience and education
  • Preferred:
  • 2+ years – Years of Experience in IT, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing fields
  • 2+ years – Data Quality Analyst/Specialist role in a large, multiple data source environment
  • experience may include a combination of work experience and education

Competencies

  • Excellent computer background required.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, master data management, enterprise data warehousing, ETL, reporting, querying, requirements analysis, and data integration techniques.
  • Experience developing and delivering data quality solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of relational databases.
  • Experience in database development and management.
  • Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of other programming languages.
  • Experience with external API integrations.
  • Strong communicator with experience presenting technical topics in a business-oriented fashion to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working in a project-based environment using leading project management practices including schedule management, status reporting, and communication of project risks and issues.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt new programs and processes.

Education

  • Minimum Required: 
  • Associate's Degree in Supply Chain, IT, Computer Science, Data Science, Logistics, related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Preferred: 

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, IT, Computer Science, Data Science, Logistics, related field, or equivalent work experience
