The challenge

Adobe is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer – Windows with excellent technical and relevant process knowledge to be part of High-Performance Cloud Platform Engineering team within ATS.

As a Windows Platform Engineer, the person will be responsible for the daily management of Windows Servers, Microsoft Clusters in a complex business application & engineering environment. This includes general system engineering responsibilities, software and infrastructure support, configuration management, system monitoring, automation etc. on a hybrid Cloud environment. This individual must have excellent Windows Server & Cluster experience, exposure to on-prem data center infrastructure, public Cloud technologies, with excellent customer relation skills. Candidate should be able to work with business application engineers and guide them with systems & platform best practices. Candidate must be able to express thoughts clearly and capable of working in a team or as an individual contributor. Individual should be self-motivated with very good communication skills.

What you’ll do

System & Platform Engineering:

  • Deploy and maintain Windows environments and Clusters on private and public Cloud environments, hosting Enterprise and Engineering workloads.
  • Install, configure, tune, and optimize Windows operating systems and applications.
  • Through understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Well versed with Microsoft Failover Clustering.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Good understanding of Virtualization technologies VMware, OpenStack etc.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts.
  • Experience with Configuration Management tools like SaltStack/Ansible/BladeLogic/KACE etc.
  • Hands on experience on public cloud technologies.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce security best practices and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations like CIS benchmarking.

Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Provide advanced technical support for Windows server-related issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex problems.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical issue resolution.
  • Create and maintain detailed system documentation, configurations, and procedures.
  • Develop and update disaster recovery plans.
  • Proficient in administering Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Strong scripting skills, particularly with PowerShell.
  • Relevant certifications such as MCSE or equivalent are a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $106,300 -- $210,800 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
