Summary

Reporting to the Director of digital program delivery, the successful candidate will manage the development of the customer account management portfolio. The account management team will drive feature development focused on user access through a single sign-on solution and its related domain, including authentication and authorization, transactions, account and subscription management, settings and preferences. Security and compliance are key elements of account management and achieving both means building a comprehensive and well thought-out account management solutions in a cost effective manner.

Other activities include the management and maintenance of all user-centric requirements across multiple brands on mobile web, mobile products, online sites and emerging platforms. The senior product owner will work closely with the product, content, design and engineering teams, as well as other stakeholders to drive content and video consumption, working towards the goal of creating an exceptional performance experience across platforms that supports Bell Media’s digital business and brand objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, partners, internal development team, third-party and customers in multiple areas to meet enterprise needs and define priorities aligned with business goals.
  • Work closely with the assigned multi-function software development team to ensure we’re building the best products and constantly delivering value to the customers.
  • Enforce compliance with industry regulations (SOX, CASL), payment data security standards and other business policies that protect data privacy and integrity, this includes processes required to track user activity to gain the data we need in case of a security incident
  • Identify improvements and drive enhancements to ensure world-class management of data and user security
  • Implement advanced payment and billing functionality with the best user experience to drive conversions and transform users into paying customers 
  • Own your measures of success, converting your KPIs to actions
  • Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance the customer experience; define and analyze metrics that inform the success of the product
  • Report on status of all digital projects in progress and manage the performance of products in-market
  • Lead team of product owner(s) for the Bell Media User Platform.
  • Work closely with cross functional team including product, content, engineering teams, project management, program management, and other stakeholders with an interest in this shared system

Critical Qualifications

  • Bilinguism is mandatory 
  • 3+ years of experience with agile project / product management and ability to be an effective product owner 
  • Experience with data security standards and compliance
  • Ability to translate organizational vision into a product vision
  • Organizational and analytical skills 
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial drive with a passion for product excellence and partner success
  • Ability to work autonomously with full ownership of deliverables and excellent attention to detail
  • Effective planning, prioritising and organisational skills
  • A team player with the confidence to challenge & escalate when necessary
  • Experience working with product management, engineering, and external parties to design and develop technology solutions
  • Proven problem solving ability with complex, technical and abstract concepts
  • Scaled Agile experience is a plus
  • Media experience is a plus
