In this role you will be responsible for supporting and leading Research and Development projects related to Transformer Sound expertise. Your focus will be technical contribution towards Sound/Noise analysis, investigation, and coordination of improvements within Hitachi Energy technology and engineering teams.

Your responsibilities

• Run feasibility studies, propose and develop new technical concepts, design new products, and simulate their expected performance
• Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies/products
• Provide technical support to other departments when needed (engineering, product management, marketing, and sales etc.)
• Participate in, and assist team members in a variety of more complex engineering activities
• Global collaboration with scientists of Hitachi Energy Research team and Technology Centers, Technology Managers and Engineers from the various Factories.
• Support with sound data analysis within the databases and tools used by Hitachi Energy and later contribution to the tools development.

Your background

• MSc education within Electrical or Mechanical Engineering field
• Experience in sound related activities, testing and international standards
• Experience with Power Transformers
• Any work experience in electrical engineering, design and product development will be an advantage
• Ability to use simulations tools will be an advantage
• Ability to create technical documentation with tools like Creo, AutoCAD etc.
• English language skills on a level allowing flexible communication within international environment
• Ability to multi-task
