As a Senior Production Engineer, you are responsible to ensure a safe and reliable operations at the site. You will also need to plan and manage staff training and development.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

1. Ensuring safe and reliable operations

  • Continuously review and monitor operation under care to ensure procedures are up to date with best practices. Up to date and approved procedures are practiced.
  • Ensure the implementation of an effective maintenance program. Coordination with maintenance teams.
  • Identify and monitor quality / performance indicators and guide the operation team to achieve KPI targets.
  • Implement production tracking, analyzing production and maintenance reports to detect and correct problems.
  • Managing team members to ensure a safe and reliable operation.

2. Site optimization activities

  • Prepare, analyze and issue periodic production and performance reports.
  • Analyze production data, apply statistical methods to determine corrective and optimization actions.
  • Optimize production plant process and able to run at most efficient condition and optimized costs to meet operating budget and customer requirement.
  • Review and implement methods to improve facility operation (regarding efficiency, availability, reliability).

3. Ensuring site equipment maintenance regime are fully complied to maintain and enhance plant availability

  • To ensure work order closure and complete assigned maintenance tasks in line with the maintenance schedule.
  • Check site maintenance schedule completion on a monthly basis and include it in monthly reporting to the production manager.
  • To organize the coordination with maintenance teams. Plan maintenance activities with the maintenance team to reduce unplanned production downtime and equipment failure.

Communications logistics and commercial on shutdown maintenance commitment.

  • To make judgments substantiated with justifications on allowing the delay of maintenance when applicable.
  • Monitor predictive and other maintenance indicators.
  • Managing spare parts.

4. Plan and manage staff training and development

  • To provide training, guidance and evaluation for staffs.
  • To ensure all personnel onsite are trained and qualified as per GT and Division Procedure to achieve the required level of competency.
  • Propose trainings applicable for continuous development for staff

5. Ensuring site documentation control complies with company procedures.

  • Ensure that operating manuals and facility SOPs are established according to the IMS program of the subsidiary.
  • Ensure revised/new procedures (for site, division and company) are distributed and communicated to site users.
  • Ensure the process to ensure only “controlled” documents are used in work activities.

6. Ensuring plant availability, IMS compliance, HSEQ and local legislation compliance

  • To manage on IMS compliance and support audit closure.
  • To ensure HSE action plan progress is being followed.
  • To assist in enforcing HSE initiatives and compliance program.
  • To serve as Emergency Response Team member if applicable.
  • To implement practices and conduct administrative duties to meet regulatory requirements for running a production plant.
  • To liaise with local authorities to ensure compliance with local rules and legislation
  • To perform risk assessment, HAZOP, FMEA or other risk management methods to identify potential risks and HSE issues.
  • All incidents or accidents onsite will need to be reported with a RCA report with proper root cause identified and CA/PA implemented with evidence.
  • Ensure proper management of Quality / IMS documents.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering is preferable or equivalent in any discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in plant operations and maintenance especially in chemical or industrial gas industry.
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good leadership, analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
