About the Role

Our software organization is looking for talented students to join our Fleet Infrastructure teams as part of the Internship Program.

As an intern, you will gain meaningful work experience while applying the knowledge and skills you have gained in the classroom. You will have the opportunity to make connections with interns and employees across the company, and to make a quantifiable impact on one of our teams. 

We hire students at the undergraduate and graduate levels for roles lasting 12, 14 or 16 weeks. Longer term internships are available for research positions. 

About the Work

We are looking for engineers to make our bots come to life. The Fleet Infrastructure team is responsible for accelerating autonomy progress and scaled bot deployment through providing a reliable, high-performance onboard infrastructure; efficient on-road data collection, testing, and integration; and support for go-to-market function with reliable commercial delivery execution. This work requires close collaboration with autonomy engineers, operation teams as well as external partners and consumers. With a solid computer science background, you are free to choose any areas that might interest you.

About You

  • You are pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field graduating in December 2024 or later
  • You have experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Full-stack web and/or mobile applications with experiences in Javascript/Typescript, HTML/CSS and React/React Native
  • Backend API design, applications development, large-scale distributed systems
  • Advanced algorithms using C++ and Python
  • Multi-threading, computer architecture, and software performance tuning and optimization, different compute modalities (CPU, GPU, FPGA), etc 
  • Robotics software frameworks
  • You have strong problem solving and programming skills.

For this position, the reasonably expected pay is $8,000/month. Your actual base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills.
