We are actively seeking a Junior Engineer to join our Rail Systems team in our Edmonton office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with a team in providing support to project managers, engineers, technicians and other team members in the execution of rail and transit systems projects involving Light Rail Vehicles, traction power, signaling and train control equipment, communication systems, and systems integration.
  • Coordinating and interfacing with project team members including clients, drafting personnel, project controllers, designers, technical specialists, subconsultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Active participation in internal and external project team meetings, including tracking of action items, reporting on project status, and preparation of meeting minutes, as required.
  • Active participation in testing and commissioning, inspections during the manufacturing and installation of systems elements, review and organization of technical information including designs, test procedures, and plans as part of the Owner’s Engineer team on the Edmonton Valley Line projects.
  • Coordinating and advancing project tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0 - 3 years of experience in a technical role.
  • Member or eligible for membership with APEGA.
  • Knowledge of and respect for safety requirements.
  • A strong team player.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Excel, MSWord.
  • Fluent-speaking in Korean would be considered an asset.
