Hitachi Energy is seeking a Power2 Project Engineer for our Engineering Development Program. This role will be located at our Raleigh, NC location. You will be responsible for learning the Engineering design process end to end, with the goal of supporting the various factories with product designs to be manufactured at the various factories. Our Power2 Engineering Program aims to build your career in engineering with a 2-year journey. This journey will provide you with unique opportunities to gain expertise in several areas of engineering, including Electrical, Marketing, and Quality. While you are a full-time member of our hub engineering team, each phase will be either in Raleigh, NC or one of our manufacturing facilities, and provides deep, experiential learning opportunities within different engineering segments. Along the way, we’ll provide you continuous career support with career development curriculum and coaching. Your responsibilities

  • Take ownership of and complete engaging projects within the assignment timeframe, and engage with supervisors and mentors to develop your technical and leadership skills

  • Learn about the relevant business or product line within your assignment
  • When you work in the marketing/Quality for the period of 6 Months you will learn the front-end process as well as what is key for production of a quality product and contribute your skills learnt in Engineering into the Marketing and Quality functions

Your background

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an Accredited University and a minimum 2 years of work experience required. Intern and Co-op experience will be considered as part of the 2 years’ work experience requirement
  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
  • Interest in the energy and/or manufacturing sectors
  • Self-starter that seeks knowledge outside of the classroom
  • Willingness to stay and work from one of the following locations: Raleigh, NC; Jefferson City, MO; Crystal Springs, MS; South Boston, VA; Bland, VA; Alamo, TN
  • Willing to relocate for 6-24 months in the factory environment, assignment locations will vary based on product line assigned – relocation assistance is provided
