The Opportunity

We are seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to join our Corporate team to be based in any of our Australian offices - Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney. We encourage applications from lawyers seeking full-time or part-time flexible work arrangements.

The Knowledge lawyer plays an important role to provide our lawyers and partners with ready access to and benefit from current, practical and useful specific resources to deliver outcomes for clients more efficiently, accurately, and skilfully.

Key responsibilities sit within two categories:

Knowledge Management:

  • Designing and coordinating the facilitation of a Corporate legal training program
  • Leveraging relationships and understanding of the different areas of practice within Corporate to develop annual knowledge plans in line with our strategic ambitions
  • Collaboration with each Corporate team to compile and curate their knowledge resources and utilise appropriate platforms to make these resources readily available
  • Managing Corporate precedent generation and updates.

Projects:

  • Liaising and collaborating with central firm functions to deliver on key firmwide projects

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • a law degree
  • at least 5 years' post qualification legal experience. Experience with a Corporate law practice group will be highly regarded
  • an ability to establish a high level of credibility in the firm and act as a trusted adviser to partners, legal staff and business services staff
  • sound judgment on legal, strategic and commercial issues
  • proven experience in initiating and delivering activities that contribute to meeting the firm’s strategic objectives
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including collaboration and influencing skills
  • strong drafting skills; and
  • solid IT skills with the ability to proficiently utilise platforms such as Sharepoint, iManage, Teams, and other relevant technologies.
