Zenith is a VR Massively Multiplayer Online Game that combines adrenaline pumping action adventure gameplay with a colorful open world. Think WoW meets Dark Souls, with an anime inspired, JRPG twist.

We're an ambitious and small team looking to add a versatile Technical Artist to help bring our vision to life! Use your multidisciplinary skills to help us create awesome visuals and provide a buttery smooth experience for our player base.

The ideal candidate is someone that has a perfect mix of artistic and technical experience for VR; someone who understands the strengths and limitations of the medium and hardware and is able to help with optimization, VFX, and pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize art assets and game builds for VR platforms (Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, etc)
  • Analyze game performance and memory allocation and come up with solutions to help us hit performance goals.
  • Be knowledgeable on the latest tools and technologies and how they can enhance our pipeline.
  • Create tools and optimize art pipelines, and establish best practices for importing models, animations, and rigging
  • Optimize and create VFX, and shaders
  • Ability to create game-ready 3d Assets.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of Technical Art experience with at least one shipped title.
  • Strong art portfolio with an emphasis on VFX
  • Experience with particle and physics simulations using Blender, Houdini, or similar 3d package.
  • Expert level Unity Engine experience
  • Experience working on optimizing VR Platforms
  • Programming knowledge in C#, and shader programming, like CG/HLSL
  • Experience with GPU, CPU, and Memory profiling using the Unity toolset, Renderdoc, and Snapdragon Profiler.
  • Interested in startups, or building a small studio from the ground up. (You’ll wear a lot of hats!)

Pluses

  • Core rendering, and graphics programming experience including linear algebra and math.
  • Hands-on experience across various art disciplines such as 3d Asset Creation, Environment Art, Animation, and VFX.
