Instructional Designer with Authoring Tool experience and Quality Review skills

Job Description

  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and identify target audience’s training needs
  • Gather and review the curated content from the SMEs/client
  • Create High-level Design Document
  • Apply Bloom’s levels of learning when stating course objectives and creating content that matches them
  • Create and review visual storyboards with engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer for ILTs and WBTs
  • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create and review supporting material/media (audio transcript, video transcript, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)
  • Create accessibility compliant content for courses
  • Create content for emerging media technologies

Requirements

Industry experience: 4-6 years in instructional design or instructional technology

Technical capability: Should have a basic knowledge of ADDIE, Instructional Design theories, Bloom’s Taxonomy, needs analysis, storyboarding, accessibility compliant content creation, visualization, authoring using development tools, client communication, familiar with Agile framework and SME interaction

Graphic Designer and eLearn Developer –Senior Associate I & II (4-6 years of experience)

Job Description

  • Study visual storyboards and determine requirements
  • Follow brand guidelines and create designs which are brand compliant
  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
  • Create themes and template designs to present ideas
  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
  • Work with Instructional Designers to produce final design
  • Review and test the graphics across various media
  • Amend designs after feedback
  • Review final graphics and layouts for quality and brand adherence
  • Create designs that are accessibility compliant (visual and hearing planning) that can be incorporated into the media (using alt tags)

Industry experience: At least 4-6 years in graphic design and eLearn authoring

Technical capability: Conceptualizing visuals based on requirements, follow the visual storyboard, creating and reviewing images and layouts using design software, understanding design scopes, studying ID briefs and determining requirements, following latest design trends and emerging technologies, authoring and reviewing WBTs, formatting and branding ILTs/VLTs, creating accessibility compliant course design, client communication, SME interaction, testing of output packages in multiple devices for complete functionality

Key personal attribute:

Good verbal and written communication skills, proven experience in the field of e-learn development, ability to explain eLearning options in a simple way, ability to propose innovative solutions to people with no eLearn background, a strong portfolio of samples eLearning in different tools – Gomo (optional), Storyline and Rise, and Captivate, also any samples of basic media or media editing either as standalone or as part of eLearning examples - ability to talk through the examples - how they approached developing them - any challenges and what was the final goal or accomplishment of the sample, a keen eye for aesthetics and details and proven track record collaborating within a team environment
