Job Summary

Beats by Dr. Dre is seeking a seasoned Consumer Electronics, Audio Product Manager for a full time role at our Culver City, CA location. This position will serve as a category expert including the interpretation of the voice of the consumer and internal/external business impact and analysis. It will be the Product Manager’s responsibility to lead products through conception, development, launch, market, and EOL. The candidate will transform our innovative product assortment into a compelling narrative that inspires users. In addition, the position will also lead internal 'Go to Market' process to help bring innovative products to market in a holistic and consistent way. The ideal candidate will thrive in a cross-functional and collaborative environment and have deep understanding of the Consumer Electronic, Audio, and Beats’s market.

Key Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management/ Marketing within the Consumer Electronics industry
  • Ability to work in a high pressure and fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to operate seamlessly between multiple highly detailed and technical situations as well as strategic situations
  • Experience in driving cross functional teams with proven results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work directly with executive teams
  • Technical expertise proven by working closely with engineering/technical teams
  • User research experience and expertise with the capability of interpreting results
  • Product forecast and budgetary understanding and experience
  • Requires frequent travel to headquarters in Cupertino, CA.


Define and communicate product features and benefits with marketing, sales, public relations, product design, and engineering Champion value proposition and competitive advantage of each product Assist with sales training on product positioning – ensure all sales members can internalize and clearly communicate our product positioning and message Be an expert on Beats consumers, their buying criteria, and how they use the products Be able to create User Stories to articulate the intended user and user behavior of products and experiences Develop and conduct user studies to better influence product decisions Lead the product planning forecast and cost analysis process across all touch points and analyze the in-market business results Lead ongoing cross functional status meetings to ensure teams are up to date on Beats priorities, relevant initiatives and product development plans Work on adjacent projects with various teams as necessary Lead the current business and key vertical analyses including: tracking brand awareness, trial and repeat purchase within Beats and lead verticals Use real-time customer feedback to help create an internal process for product management & engineering to improve product roadmap


BS/BA degree, MS/MA/MBA preferred
