Supportive role to Maintenance Manager and all engineers for controlling and coordinating maintenance and technical equipment and keeping expected hotel standards with economical and quality oriented procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling employees and controlling split shift procedures in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.
  • Controlling of budgeted hours within the department.
  • General office administration (responding letters, emails and special requests).
  • Supervision of all engineers.
  • Planning, executing and controlling maintenance work of technical equipment (including HVAC) and disposal of detergents and toxic material.
  • Presence in departmental meetings.
  • Control of energy, water and heating usage.
  • Organizing and maintaining files, bills and receipts.
  • Controlling vacation planning and correct employee scheduling procedures.
  • Supportive role in creating departmental budgeting and controlling of inventory.
  • Training and practicing emergency and security issues.
  • Teaching and training fire and security procedures to all engineers in case of an emergency.
  • Key control within the hotel.
  • Guaranteeing cleanliness within the entire engineering department.
  • Control of the telephone system within the hotel in compliance with the Maintenance Manager.
  • Usage of external companies regarding budgeting and economical thinking.
  • Communicating and negotiating offers with external companies.
  • Organizing transportation for obsolete furniture or equipment to outside storage areas.
  • Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.
