Responsibilities

The IT Asset & Financial Governance team has an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager! This team is a global IT organization responsible for asset lifecycle management. This includes ensuring the full lifecycle of assets is accounted for, maintained, and/or upgraded, including retirement and disposition. 

As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team(s) of employees and contractors. The team(s) work jointly with vendor partners, internal support services, and operational departments to provide business analysis, project management, implementation, and consulting support globally. In this role, you will be responsible for people management activities including guiding and coordinating work performed by the team members, career planning and support, training, interviewing, hiring, performance management and annual performance appraisals and salary reviews. A successful candidate will be skilled in contract understanding to ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and third-party requirements, data integrity of assets, and the availability of assets for productivity. Additionally, they will have knowledge of demand and supply management, forecasting, procurement of hardware and software, analytical reporting and data plan management.

In this role, you will partner extensively across other internal IT areas, Corporate Contracts, Accounting, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management teams, as well as interface with vendors to ensure performance to contracted terms, cost savings, and/or cost avoidance. The ability to interact and form strong relationships with other managers, executive management, corporate and field representatives, and deliver results will be critical to this individual’s success. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage team(s) through full employment cycle including performance management, and career development; build an effective leadership bench and lead others in doing the same.
  • Develop and implement a vendor strategy, including process and tools integration models.
  • Implement, communicate, and enforce vendor and services management-specific processes and controls. Partner with global IT leaders to establish consistency.
  • Oversee structured services performance assessments and resulting recommendations and actions. Ensure optimized value of services agreements.
  • Establish strong relationships with Field Technology leaders to ensure satisfaction with delivered services, address concerns, and identify efficiency opportunities.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and support to teams and managers in vendor management best practices.
  • Develop relationships with vendor partners that enable productive problem-solving and mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with IT and Corporate procurement and supply management leaders to understand global sourcing strategies, vendor performance management tools and capabilities, and corporate procedural guidelines and policies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance over the lifecycle management of IT assets. Including, documenting and maintain policies and processes required for an effective ITAM program
  • Define and lead continuous service improvements and governance efforts
  • Regularly report on the IT Asset Management program, status, plans, and deficiencies
  • Execute plans and track critical metrics to ensure process improvements as expected

  • The applicant selected for this position must reside in St. Louis, Missouri or the immediate surrounding area, as an on-site presence at one of our two St. Louis based campuses will be required, as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • 6+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Asset Management 
  • 5+ years of experience in Telecommunication Services
  • 3+ years of Asset Management tool experience: ServiceNow Preferred (other related tools: Flexera, JAMF, SCCM, etc.)
  • Prior experience managing a technical team (to include salary and performance reviews, hiring, mentoring/ coaching, career development, etc.)
  • Experience leading across functions and diverse, global teams
  • Deep knowledge of Asset Management full lifecycle management
  • Demonstrated leadership skills related to asset management practices, governance activities, resource management
  • Knowledge in financial accounting, governance, and vendor management concepts
  • Experience working to develop business-critical applications for contact centers
  • Strong understanding of the various components of a voice conversational system
  • Results driven to meet or exceed business, service levels, or milestones
  • Proven process skills to drive team efficiencies
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and business skills to successfully articulate ideas, collaborate with third parties, and present to senior leaders
  • Proven experience with leading through ambiguity to set and execute strategic direction
  • Strong executive presentation, negotiation, and sales skills
  • Demonstrable self-awareness of personal strengths and development opportunities
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Asset Management tool implementation skills preferred
  • Software Asset Management certification or hours towards a certification preferred
  • Vendor Management Services Management related training or certification preferred
  • Participation in industry peer groups or associations; demonstrated interest in industry advancement and best practices preferred
