Job Summary:

Responsible for increasing the company’s sales and market share in the SE Asia territory. Develop and execute pursuit strategies for Airborne, Ground and Maritime based products in the territory. Lead the proposal process for all pursuits in SE Asia. Manage existing customers and work to anticipate future customer requirements and needs. The individual must be able to work with minimal supervision. The individual should have an understanding of FMS, SE Asia Government and Military workings. 

Detailed Descrption:

Promote, Develop and Conclude the sales of FLIR Systems’ products into the territory

Manage the sales process with an emphasis on predictable growth and success in programmatic business development

Timely Reporting of Sales Forecasts and Activities

Meet or Exceed Revenue Forecast for Region

Lead cross functional teams in the proposal process

Travel up to 50% in the territory to complete the sales objectives

Organize and support product demonstrations

Travel to support trade shows, customer demonstrations and other business development activities in a cost effective manner consistent with company policy and under budget as defined by the Director and /or Vice President

Develop intelligence on competitors in the marketplace

Host international visitors to FLIR Systems facilities

Perform other job-related duties as required.

Requirements:

5 years of Strategic Selling with a strong emphasis on Government sales and Government (primarily military and paramilitary) end customers in the SE Asia region.  

Customer contacts and proven cross cultural familiarity and skills within the SE Asian territory a plus.

Ability to respond to Government Tenders and preparation of complicated proposals and presentations. 

Working knowledge of international representative selling organizations and distribution channels.

Bachelor’s Degree Required (Masters Preferred): Technical discipline preferred

FMS Sales process experience preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as organizational abilities required.

Technically adept and able to make product presentations and briefings to convey simple messages to win key selling accounts

Ability to multi-task and support the Director of International Sales-ROW (Direct Report)

Extensive Travel (up to 150 days per annum).

Strong computer proficiencies required (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.) 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Fluency in SE Asian Languages a plus

Experience with infrared & similar technologies Preferred – (Former military background a plus).
