This position is responsible for all organic web marketing and SEO tasks to ensure that Brandman University ranks high in search engines. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, implementing SEO strategies, page optimizations, link building, reporting, keyword research, and developing, implementing and managing website content changes to maximize search engine traffic and revenue. Ideal candidate will be skilled in the use of advanced skills such as creating scenarios for optimizations, A/B testing, keeping up with trends in organic search engine marketing, and extensive use of analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Omniture (Adobe) etc .
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions: 100% of time
Implement strategy for first page rankings through onsite optimization related to page titles, URLs, redirects, internal link structures, SEO copy editing, sitemap robots review/maintenance, and keyword research.
Assisting in the creation of landing pages as needed as well as providing training to website contributors
Maintain compliance and University integrity by monitoring and proactively communicating with external sites to update web content related to Brandman University.
Monitoring/reporting overall search engine performance using the University’s content management system.
Increase engagement, interaction, and conversion of the University website using analytics tools to test, interpret, and implement best practice solutions.
Maintain website and microsites to ensure current and accurate informationrefresh content and imagery manage scheduled audits as well as ongoing incoming website requests
Keep up to date on the latest SEO, PPC strategies, and technologies and the competitive landscape, ensuring we are following industry best practices and recommending solutions for improvement.
Develop and maintain internal marketing portal hosting documents, images and videos.
Design and update email templates using HTML.
Self-motivated and analytical; must be able to work independently.
2 years website content development and SEO writing experience.
Firm understanding of SEO best practices and on-page optimization tactics (page title optimization, url optimization, content optimization, crawlability, internal linking).
2 years of Drupal experience.
2 years of web development experience and advanced knowledge of front development.
2 years of Google Analytics and SEO implementation and tracking.
Experience with source control and ability to moderate and track updates.
Proficiency with excel required.
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Should exhibit a quick approach to learning concepts, with superior attention to detail
Must be driven to complete tasks with an emphasis on quality.
Must have high creativity skills, multitasking skills, and solid understanding of web based solutions and technologies.
Detail oriented and posses strong written and verbal skills
Strong quantitative abilities a plus
Knowledge and Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Strong and specific knowledge of SEO and online marketing analytics.
Experience with Drupal 7 is a must.
