Position, Department: Adjunct Assistant Professor, Accounting, Academic Affairs

Type of Position: Adjunct Faculty, Exempt

Pay Range: in alignment with the master agreement

Position Summary: JCCC Accounting degree program is looking for qualified adjunct faculty members to teach various courses in financial accounting and other accounting courses designated with the prefix ACCT.

We have a particular need for qualified instructors who can teach during the day (8:00am-2:00pm). Interested parties should be capable of delivering classes face-to-face, online, or a combination of the two.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's in Accounting, OR MBA with CPA, CMA, CIS; OR MBA with18 graduate credit hours in Accounting
  • Minimum of three years industry experience
  • Demonstrated teaching or training experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and planning skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CANVAS or similar learning management systems
  • A sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, and abilities backgrounds of community college students
  • Experience teaching in face-to-face, online, and/or blended learning environments
