DIRECTOR MBA Program College of Business University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
The Director has responsibility for managing the strategic and operational aspects of the fulltime (FTMBA) and professional MBA (PMBA) programs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set the strategic direction of both the FTMBA and PMBA programs in coordination with the Senior Associate Dean of MBA programs
Responsible for all operational elements of the MBA programs, including admissions, advising, student services, and experiential learning opportunities so that the programs are consistently responsive to student needs
Develop and ensure the execution of recruiting strategies to meet the desired class target profiles for both FTMBA and PMBA students
Collaborate with Illinois Business Consulting and the Global Consulting Program to provide experiential learning opportunities for both FTMBA and PMBA students
Collaborate with business career services to provide career related opportunities and career search support for FTMBA students
Develop and ensure the execution of professional development for both FTMBA and PMBA students to augment the classroom experience
Hire, train, and supervise the MBA staff. Provide vision and motivation to the staff and encourage innovation and excellence
Develop strong rapport with students, faculty and staff
Actively engage alumni and other stakeholders of the programs in the college
Monitor trends in the MBA marketplace in order and bring it to the attention of the MBA faculty committee and the academic director so that we continually improve the MBA offerings
Responsible for the budgets of both the FTMBA and MBA programs in order to ensure the financial viability of each of the programs.
QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree required, MBA preferred, with a minimum of five years' experience with progressive responsibility in a corporate or university setting. Experience in client acquisition, project management; recruiting, marketing; and supervision.
This is a full-time, 12-month academic professional position. The starting date will be as soon as possible after the closing date. Salary is commensurate with experience, and includes an excellent benefits package.
