Job Description

The ideal candidate will be part of the team that develops FPGA and FPGA SOC products, which will be used in leading electronic systems. You will be working with leading-edge design entry, layout extraction tools, and methodologies to design and verify our state-of-the-art products using leading foundry process technologies. You will have an opportunity to learn, understand, and work with integration of Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) technology used in our FPGA and SOC architectures. You will work closely with silicon design engineers (both Custom and Digital Flow) to develop and enhance our design environment. You will also work with our foundry partners when issues arise in PDK and design collaterals. You will be the main liaison with our third-party IP partners with regard to taking delivery and QA of design collaterals.

Job Requirements

  • BSEE or MSEE, and 12+ years of relevant work experience
  • In-depth understanding of Cadence Virtuoso s/w suite (both schematic and layout) and Cadence netlisting environment
  • In-depth experience with layout extraction methodologies, such as Calibre xACT, Synopsys StarRC, or Cadence QRC (Calibre CCI + StarRC preferred)
  • General understanding of digital P&R flow and required collaterals
  • In-depth experience with Cadence SKILL programming
  • Experienced in shell/Perl/Python scripting for design automation
  • Strong experience with revision control and configuration management tools (SVN, Synchronicity preferred)
  • Understanding of 14nm and below process technologies
  • Experience with functional safety in the context of CAD is a plus
  • Experience with being a facility security officer (FSO) is a plus
  • Interface with cross-functional teams on various CAD requests
  • Good communication skills a key requirement for coordinating tasks across all different sites in different time zones.
