Are you looking to combine your interests in social sector with a passion for technology? Benetech is a technology nonprofit that develops software for social good. We are the developer of Bookshare, the world’s largest digital library with over 1 million accessible books available in 94 countries and over 60 languages. Bookshare has been supported by several 5-year awards from the Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs, and is currently available to any student with a qualifying disability in the United States for free. We seamlessly ingest and convert more than 9,000 books per month from 900+ publishers into the Bookshare collection.
ATTRACTING CANDIDATES FROM ALL BACKGROUNDS
Benetech is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in our staff and invite all qualified people to apply, including minorities, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. We firmly believe in Doing More Together – it's even on of our Truths. You can read more about our underlying values here: https://benetech.org/about/our-truths/
Research shows that women and people from underrepresented groups often only apply to jobs if they meet all of the qualifications. However, no one ever meets 100% of the qualifications. Benetech encourages you to break that statistic and to apply. We look forward to your application.
We are seeking a college student to help us identify potential contacts that would be interested in our mission and our services, create outreach messages and campaigns, and track and qualify the responses.
