Your Impact 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform through the development and implementation of robust automation solutions. The position will be responsible for building quality assurance platforms to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality software products. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the following areas:

  • Enhanced software quality: Develop and implement robust automation solutions to execute comprehensive test plans, leading to higher software quality and a reduced likelihood of defects reaching production
  • Test scalability and reliability: Create automated test scripts for Micro-services testing, API testing and UI testing, ensuring the scalability and reliability of our platform in dynamic and complex environments
  • Performance optimization: Execute performance testing strategies to identify and address bottlenecks, leading to a more responsive and high-performing software platform
  • Identification and mitigation of security risks: Develop automated testing solution that identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities early in the development lifecycle, enabling proactive mitigation measures
  • Continuous improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of a long-term automation strategy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the QA and development teams

What You’ll Do 

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Hybrid (2 working days at the office)

Reports to: QA Engineering Manager

Direct Reports:

  • You will play the role of QA architect to research, design, and build-up solid testing stack and framework to speedup the testing, tackle automation technical problems, increase quality for products and services
  • You will be responsible for software testing solutions where the problem is not well defined. You are capable of understanding the interaction between the components in a distributed system in order to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Focus on responsibility: Build-up solid testing stacks and frameworks, take full responsibility on it
  • Focus on flexibility: Deliver automation solutions that can be easy to use, maintainable, and extendable
  • Focus on integration: Deliver automation solutions that can be easy to integrate with CI/CD process and cloud testing platforms
  • You will be leading the QA Platform to demonstrate experience leading and mentoring a team of automation engineers

What You Bring

Required Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in software testing across a wide variety of applications and infrastructure components, QA processes, test management and automated testing tools
  • Excellent at programming skills and flexibility with a variety of automation frameworks
  • Excellent at build-up automation framework from scratch and define standard of excellence
  • Excellent at micro-services testing and back-end integrations
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Clean code and well-defined documentation
  • Good at English/Vietnamese to collaborate and communicate with colleagues in US/VN

Preferred Qualification:

  • Strong understanding of software QA mindset and development methodologies (Agile/Scrum)
  • Excellent at automation and performance testing using a variety of tools, such as K6, Playwright, Cypress, Gatling, Selenium etc.
  • Excellent at programming language (one at least), such as Javascript/Typescript, Java, Scala, or Python
  • Experience with cloud testing platforms, such as Checkly, Saucelabs, Testkube
  • Experience with Linux/Mac/Window operating system
  • Experience with API testing, such as REST, SOAP, gRPC, Websocket protocols
  • Experience with Contract testing and Chaos Engineering, such as Pact.io, Chaos Mesh
  • Experience with API-Gateway, mTLS, IP/Geo restrictions, Security testing - OWASP
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD pipeline, such as Teamcity, Jenkins
  • Experience with logging, tracing, monitoring tools like Splunk, Datadog, Grafana
  • Proactive and ability to work independently as well as working as technical lead of a sub team
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
