As a Junior Software Engineer, you will participate in a group of developers as a project member responsible for complex contributions. You may also provide bug verification, release testing or beta support.

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading, contributing to and participating in design and code reviews and producing deliverables for such reviews.
  • Establishing project and production support producing XML based configurations for our Subsea Electronic Modules
  • Troubleshooting problems within the XML configuration.
  • Developing Python based support tools to replace legacy software tools or to help integrate new services or features.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 1- 4 years relevant experience in Software Engineering
  • Have Bachelors in Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics or Telecommunications
  • Have good understanding of XML, Python, C, Java applications, and knowledgeable of object design methodology.
  • Have an experience in utilizing communications protocols such as Modbus and UDP, and knowledge of FPGAs.
  • Have an experience of system troubleshooting
  • Have ability to break down problems and establish which part of a system is the potential cause.
