The Global Technology Services vision is to enhance the financial wellbeing of our customers and to provide richer customer experiences by providing high quality Platforms and Services to manage our Business and meet Regulatory obligations. We provide a range of services to our internal customers across all business units of the Group.

Your Role

The role of Project Manager sits within the Cloud Delivery Team, a team that is accountable to deliver Private and Public Cloud aligned migrations, strategic projects and initiatives. You will be working with cutting edge Cloud technologies across CBA’s internal and Vendor aligned Public Clouds working with the latest virtualization, micro services, infrastructure and technologies.

As an IT Project Manager you will lead significant, highly visible projects utlising both agile and waterfall methodologies working within highly dedicated and talented squads.

You will leverage your formal project management and leadership experience to collaborate to deliver projects on time, budget and with high quality outcomes. This opportunity will also offer fantastic career growth potential and exposure to the banks industry leading Cloud Technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects service delivery and management activities, including but not limited to: Customer needs analysis, customer communication, service availability management, capacity management, service continuity management, users access management, information security management and configuration management
  • Manage all aspects of the solution delivery life cycle from solution initiation, planning, developing, testing and implementation. Develop robust and achievable work and project plans. Manage project scopes, time and costs. Track and manage project activities and deliverables to ensure solutions achieve agreed objectives and business benefits
  • Enabler of Agile practices, ensuring these are understood and enacted through adherence to Agile theory, principles, practices, and rules. Support the team with effective performance of Agile activities, ceremonies and show cases.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to cultivate a self-organising, self-supportive and self-management team culture.
  • Manage risks and issues and develop effective mitigation strategies. Actively escalate and resolve issues or impediments that may impact deliverables.
  • Effectively manage relationships and communications with stakeholders, customers, product owners, delivery teams within OneCloud Gen2 and across the group, operations and external technology vendors.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports for management and other governance groups
  • Contribute to the OneCloud strategy for the Group – leveraging technology and information to enhance the financial wellbeing of our customers and to provide richer customer experiences.
  • Undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Group policies and external regulatory requirements.

You are

  • 2 years formal IT project management experience
  • Managing Budgets in excess of 1M 
  • Application and/or infrastructure experience
  • Experience working in Agile / SCRUM environment
  • A flexible mindset and approach to project delivery, experimentation and continuous

Desirable

  • Relevant IT or business related tertiary qualifications
  • Recognised industry certifications (for example project management methodology)
  • Financial Services sector experience
