SUMMARY:
Our team is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Videographer /Editor to integrate video capability to our brands e-commerce sites. As a Videographer / Editor you will be responsible for the creative ideation, execution and production of content for our e-commerce product pages. You will work closely with the brands as part of the studio team to create best in class video content.
The Videographer/Editor will be required to film, edit, color grade, and upload video content within set turnaround times. The role requires a focused, driven and hardworking individual, who can remain calm and professional in pressured situations while maintaining a positive and proactive attitude. This role demands a dynamic team player who is eager to learn, has excellent communication and problem solving skills and can grasp new information quickly. You will also be passionate, flexible, project focused, can work with minimal supervision, have the ability to think outside of the box and bring new ideas to the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Film, edit, color grade, and upload all videos for the brands ecommerce product pages, within deadline and to the highest standard
- Collaborate with Studio Manager and Brand to clarify and faciliate any pre-production necessary, working with the wider team to conceptualise, ideate and execute.
- Manage all on-set production, and post-production end to end.
- Oversee and execute lighting on-set.
- Ensure product is filmed and edited in the best way possible so that the customer is able to gather as much information from the clip to encourage them to buy the product
- Direct the models to ensure their movement is as strong as possible, and give advice where necessary for the models to strengthen and improve.
- Film/Edit video lookbooks, short advertising videos, assets for social media and other ad hoc creative tasks
- Be responsible for quality checking each edit filmed, ensuring maximum attention to detail to guarantee the product is shown in the most optimum way with nothing disrupting the quality of the clip
- Build and create sets to support creative briefs as set by the Brands
- Knowledge of a wide range of video and photographic lighting setups for best results
- Strong technical knowledge of sound, including dubbing and mixing and sound equipment, accessories and grip
- Manage the archival system assuring all assets and masters are properly backed-up and safely stored.
- Manage the upload of video and photo files to servers.
- Research new ways of editing and work as part of the team to ensure you are following the best procedure
- Support the Studio Management Team with all video related issues and technical issues, including participation in discussion regarding software upgrades
- Constantly strive to develop the quality and efficiency of videos, ensuring our Brands remain competitive in online imagery/video
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Studio Manager.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience as an editor for video/film and/or multimedia productions.
- Proven work professional experience as a Videographer/Editor in a fashion or ecommerce environment
- Exceptional e-commerce videography & photography skills, with high understanding of social media & e-commerce.
- Knowledgeable in professional video camera equipment either Panasonic, Sony or Canon Cinema Cameras (including Gimbals)
- Motion graphics skills and editing in professional editing softwares, Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci, or Final Cut Pro X.
- Proficiency in motion graphics /titling /gifs and graphics, not essential, but desired
- Good color correction/color grading skills
- Dubbing mixing and sound editing skills is a plus
- Mature, creative, honest, reliable and professional with excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional time management skills
- Experience coordinating work flow and executing direction on sets.
- Must show the ability to be a storyteller and create compelling content that captures the audience's attention in video and photo.
- A team player that helps others grow around them as well as being willing to take constructive criticism.
- Ability to understand and produce content that fits brand aesthetic.
