Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

Use your skills as a content writer and editor to help craft engaging and accessible website pages, emails, paid search ads and other digital content. As part of the Agile Marketing Pods you will use your editorial skills to help bring to life the CIBC purpose and our commitment to helping our clients succeed.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Content creation: You will create content for marketing landing pages, ads, emails, paid search, social media and other digital platforms. Your content will integrate accessibility and SEO best practices and maintain CIBC editorial standards. You will prepare copy decks for our partners, legal reviewers, developers and QA testers.
  • Communicate with confidence: You use your powers of communication and consultation to speak to your content with authority. Your solid interpersonal skills are a must for collaborating with diverse stakeholders, sales leads and internal pod members such as visual designers, translators and developers.
  • Development and collaboration: The role involves managing multiple initiatives at one time, requiring excellent organizational and time management skills. You will work closely with a visual designer and will be part of a collaborative, cross-disciplinary agile pod.

  • You have a degree in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Marketing and Business Communications or related field.
  • You can demonstrate work knowledge of: SEO, UX, WCAG 2.0 Accessibility Standards and Plain Language Principles. The following are considered strong assets: Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar content management systems, familiarity with enterprise project methodologies, and publishing/workflow tools, previous experience working with developers, UX Architects and Creative Designers.
