Key job responsibilities

  • Negotiating and drafting complex licensing, distribution, production, and other commercial agreements
  • Providing strategic guidance on various regulatory matters (in particular on compliance with new laws), licensing and new industry developments
  • Closely cooperating internationally with business and legal stakeholders across Amazon Global Media and Entertainment
  • Some travel may be required

A day in the life

You will be the primary legal support for many Amazon Music business clients locally and internationally. You will directly advise our music and podcast streaming businesses on a broad range of entertainment and regulatory matters. You will work as the lead lawyer on strategic projects, providing day-to-day advice to the business in a wide range of legal areas, notably content licensing, regulatory compliance and new business initiatives. You will be asked to develop innovative solutions to novel legal questions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • License to practice law in Europe, US or other common law jurisdiction
  • Experience in legal work

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
  • Knowledge of internet, software, and media industries and the legal and regulatory environment in which they operate or equivalent
