The Opportunity 

Reporting into the Director Studio Operations, the Manager of Talent Operations is responsible for managing the Talent Scheduling Department (which includes models and on-air guests), the Talent Service Center, the Studio Trafficking Team, Weather Crisis Coordination, and Studio Logistics (which includes in-studio vendor relations & liaison work with the corporate warehouse internal partners).

Within the Talent Scheduling Department this managerial role is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the scheduling of all models for all QVC platforms and for all guests.

  • apply understanding of the business and how their department integrates with others to achieve departmental objectives. 
  • Provide leadership and direction through a team of professionals and/or supervisors or complex support to the Production and Operations teams. 
  • ensure team is equipped to successfully deliver, assist leadership in resource planning. 
  • participate with leader in development and implementation of approaches for growth and development of the team. 
  • identify and solve technical and operational problems of diverse scope; understands and recognizes broader impact across the department.
  • Past experience, good judgement and reasoning is required to solve issues that are varied and may be non-routine. guided by policies and departmental plan, impacts the team’s ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. 
  • implements day to day processes and programs. 
  • provide support to Sr. Leader in influencing parts of the organization. Within own team/function, with some cross functional communication. 
  • keeps the team informed about plans for change and progress. 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Business, Television Broadcasting or related field or an equivalent combination of skills, training, and experience is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in management, talent agency, scheduling position, or broadcast area preferred
  • Customer service background or experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills needed.
  • Attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, plus the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of branding & interest in casting talent preferred
  • Working knowledge of fashion and beauty brands is preferred.
