Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in law
  • 7 years of professional experience; 4 years in a compliance role in a bank, multinational company, professional services firm or corporate environment ideally in a renown global company
  • Experience in consulting or professional services, legal, risk management or corporate governance, public policy or regulation; certified compliance professional is a plus
  • Excellent people leadership skills with a track record of building and developing diverse teams across different locations
  • Experience in multiple geographies
  • Strong organizational skills including process ownership and management
  • Comfort with data analysis, database management and data reporting; basic IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a work-setting; ability to address and manage unpredictable outcomes
  • Outstanding English written and oral communication skills including clear and concise writing and editorial skills; excellent listening skills
  • Willingness to travel; ability to work across time zones as needed

Who You'll Work With

You will be based in our Sao Paulo office, and will report directly to the associate director of HR for Latin America.

The mission of this role is to support McKinsey’s client impact and innovation while managing risks to the firm, our clients and our people. You will work closely with the risk function which in an integrated global team with backgrounds including communications, consulting, diplomacy, government, government affairs and law.

What You'll Do

You will support our compliance activities in Latin America and be one of the points of contact for risk and compliance related questions for colleagues in the region.

In this role you will act as a key support for the regional risk committee. You will have a broad range of interesting tasks and projects and will play an important role in raising awareness, giving advice and contributing to the skill building of colleagues to ensure compliance with our code of conduct and internal policies. In doing so, you will leverage existing systems and processes and support the design and implementation of new systems and processes where needed.

You will help identify key compliance risks in the region and provide transparency to leadership on compliance levels and compliance risks through regular reporting. In addition, you will assist the firm on identifying trends as well as cross-cutting compliance issues. Lastly, you will support investigations of compliance incidents in the region.
