  • MBA or postgraduate degree highly advantageous
  • Evidence of team building with outstanding, proven leadership experience, managing large teams, coaching and developing talent to deliver high satisfaction to clients

Who You'll Work With

You’ll have our London office as your base, working closely with our McKinsey client team leaders and their clients. You will also partner with our Orphoz teams across Europe, both in client facing and support roles. You will report in to the board of Orphoz Directors across Europe, as well as UK regional leadership.

What You'll Do

Your work will largely be in the Private Sector, concentrating on project and change management, supporting implementation of change programmes to ensure they are delivered fully and consistently. 

In this role you will have five key areas of responsibility. Firstly, people development and office management. This includes building up the team through recruitment to meet the internal growth targets and then playing a key role in training to ensure a consistent approach across the teams, and developing a positive and proactive team culture. You will also lead the evaluation and the development of consultants, managing promotions, framing people development processes (training, coaching), whilst coordinating support functions to ensure their development, leading the daily management of the capability (administration, finance, recruiting, offices, etc.).

The second key area is client development and engagements. You will develop private sector client activity in full consistency with the objectives defined annually by the Board. This will include constant interaction with the relevant Partner group across the UK & Ireland and beyond, whilst also supporting the teams during the engagements, contributing to the development of the consultants as well as to the actual content of the projects. 

The third area is strategy and links with other McKinsey teams. Your role will be critical in helping to build the strategic plan and budget for Orphoz UK, as well as supporting other Orphoz entities in their set-up and development (maintaining a link with the McKinsey Implementation Leaders, Sector Leaders and local Client Committee).

The fourth key area is economics-ensuring the success of the entity and reaching the economic targets defined by McKinsey. Finally, knowledge management - you will lead the knowledge development internally and define the agenda for the team in coordination with other European Orphoz hubs leaders and McKinsey.
