Facebook is seeking a Platform Marketing Manager to join our APAC Global Business Marketing team to lead and execute the business marketing strategy for key solutions that impact all our platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp) with specific focus on driving Instagram in APAC and in Japan. The Platform Marketing Manager will be responsible for Instagram led business narrative and programs for APAC & Japan by partnering with global teams and in-country teams. They will leverage communication skills, an eye for visually powerful communication, and the ability to work across a broad range of marketing programs/projects to collaborate with product marketers, country marketing managers and sales leaders. They will need to combine strategic-thinking, creativity and a hands-on approach to successfully execute on high-impact, scalable ideas and campaigns. This role is is a full-time role under the Global Business Marketing organization.

Platform Marketing Manager - Instagram, Global Business Marketing, APAC Responsibilities

  • Develop & execute scale marketing marketing programs that build the Instagram for Business brand in APAC and in specific the Japan market
  • Develop & localise customer-focused initiatives that can be used by sales teams to generate new business that inspire, educate and engage our B2B audience on ways to utilise Instagram’s marketing solutions to achieve their industry-specific business objectives
  • Create innovative programs and compelling narratives for the brand and key priority products that can be used by our sales teams to generate new business & educate clients/partners on the value of Instagram and benefits of new products/features
  • Drive and own strategic planning & execution of priority Instagram projects and activations in Japan. Develop and execute marketing strategy partnering with regional program owners, sales and other cross functional partners in Japan
  • Work as part of a small, focused Instagram team in the region, who liaises with the global Instagram structure to highlight regional needs and continuously surface APAC needs to incorporate in global marketing strategy

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing, or other related discipline
  • 12+ years of experience in core marketing in consumer and/or advertising working with brands.
  • Expert in marketing strategy, messaging and content development
  • Superb cross-functional, project management and leadership skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
  • Outstanding communication skills and proven ability to produce strong written content, with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong creative perspective to bring fresh ideas to marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge of marketing landscape of Japan is essential because a successful candidate will be working closely with cross functional partners based in Japan and responsible for building relationships and helping them drive business results on Facebook through consultation, education, and support
  • The Platform Marketing Manager will work closely with cross functional teams whose usual business language is Japanese and English. Knowledge of Japanese is essential for success in this role
