Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist is part of our trans-disciplinary teams providing treatment and support to over 1,000 families each year through our community and home-based services. Trans-disciplinary teams may include Educators, Social Workers, Nurses and Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapists.

Education & Licensing Requirements

  • Current Licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluations and assessments * Consultations * Curriculum development and group work * Family-based direct OT services * Development of individualized service plans and multi-developmental services * Service coordination and attending monthly in-service trainings * Parent support and education * Weekly team meeting and supervision * Maintaining competency in the field via continued education

Experience & Skills

  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills 
  • Ability to make decisions, direct others and support them clinically 
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently 
  • Empathy and desire to work with youth and families in underserved communities
  • Willing to work weekend and/or evening hours 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience or interest in providing outreach services 
  • Demonstrates flexibility/adaptability, resourcefulness, and professionalism
