Zulily is looking for a dynamic technology leader that loves to develop talent, lead innovative product design, deliver software leveraging a fluid/agile delivery model, and build cloud-ready, highly scalable services for one of the most dynamic business models in retail. 

The Vice President of Supply Chain Technology is responsible for one of the largest and most complex supply chain solutions in retail. Zulily recognized early that supply chain solutions delivery competitive advantage and the engineering of our solutions is at the center of our strategic plan. Supply Chain Tech (SCT) builds the software that powers both Zulily’s fulfillment network and an increasing part of QVC and HSN’s networks. Our combined fulfillment operations make us the third-largest pure-play ecommerce company in the world, and our build-first software teams create a range of solutions including network-wide inventory, transportation, shipment planning, procurement, and every function within our state-of-the-art fulfillment centers.

This individual will lead multiple teams responsible for the development of these solutions. This is a high-profile position with exposure to multiple teams and businesses across Zulily and the entire Qurate Retail Group (QVC, HSN, Ballard Designs, Frontgate, Garnet Hill, Grandin Road, Improvements). 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Hire and develop great technology professionals including roles in engineering, product management and leadership
  • Lead the ongoing strategy, definition, adoption and value generation for your technology products and services
  • Develop, communicate, and manage the strategy and delivery of the full product lifecycle for our Supply Chain Technology solutions
  • Oversee the development and delivery of large-scale initiatives which include new products, refactoring, and new technology adoption 
  • Strengthen relationships across our company by engaging business leaders and end user customers, to establish credibility, solve problems and achieve objectives
  • Manage multiple complex projects and programs which are broad in scope, interdependent, high risk, high impact and with various implementation time frames that impact the greater Zulily and Qurate organizations
  • Manage a metrics program with an emphasis on objectives and key results (OKR), monthly business reviews (MBR), weekly business reviews (WBR), A/B testing and measured business value (ROI) 
  • Fosters an environment that supports the drive for operational excellence and continuous learning
  • Driving the adoption of new ways of working, including focusing on outcomes vs. output, viscosity vs. velocity, observability vs. traditional monitoring/alerting

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years’ experience at a senior level position which includes both product development and software engineering
  • 10+ years managing people ranging from individual contributors to senior management roles
  • Strong experience in an open source technology environment (must be well versed in open sourced arena)
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience leading the development of technology products throughout the full product lifecycle
  • Proven track record of building high-performing teams
  • Demonstrates exceptional relationship building skills with strong ability to influence others
  • Leading organizational development exercises focused on an agile delivery model and significant scale
  • Proven history of working closely with business partners to successfully drive overall company objectives
  • Demonstrates proven leadership of large end user projects and programs
  • BS in Computer Science or related field required. MBA preferred
