The Credit and Collections Integration Analyst will be heavily focused on the on-time review of open orders and adherence to collection strategies as set forth by FIS GetPaid Collection software system for over 9,000 active accounts. This role will have a strong impact on the integration/implementation phase of migrating a Saint-Gobain business group into the existing credit environment of CertainTeed. In addition, the incumbent will focus on maximizing business cash flow and profits, and minimizing losses and bad debt exposure while supporting top-line growth and maintaining customer goodwill. 

Additionally, this role will be responsible for establishing customer relationships to ensure that customer account reconciliations coincide with the customer’s accounts payable system. This includes: analyzing customer risk and setting credit limits, sending statements and dunning notices, working with customers to obtain remittance advices, reconcile unapplied cash payments, deductions and credit memos, as well as sending copies of invoices and credit memos to the customer. This position will partner with our internal sales, customer service, cash application and pricing teams with strong focus on deduction resolution, as well as identify and propose solutions to management regarding changes in payment patterns as well as any large or unexpected order which results in a credit hold. 

The Credit and Collections Analyst will also work closely with the Sr. Operations Manager and Director of Credit. 

Position overview:

  • This role will assume responsibility for a customer portfolio from another Saint-Gobain business group, and then take a lead role in integrating them into the existing CertainTeed credit and collections team.
  • Provide insights to customer behaviors to Sr. Management, Sales and Customer Service.
  • Assist Sr. Operations Manager by taking ownership of an assigned portfolio of customer accounts to include; 
  • Perform credit risk analysis including recommendation of customer credit line through financial statement analysis, review of NACM, D&B and other trade reports plus CertainTeed payment experience while complying with CT approval matrix.
  • Collection of aged receivables utilizing GetPaid software
  • Reconciling accounts including invoices, on-account payments, credit memos and deductions
  • Monthly cash forecasting with increased emphasis during peak periods in June and December
  • Credit line reviews
  • On time review of pending orders in ERP System
  • Alert sales and customers service of credit failures that may interrupt plant activities
  • Develop rapport with customers and sales through the use of automated collection software
  • Recommend process improvements to ensure complete customer satisfaction
  • Assist in process improvement teams, and work in a cross functional team environment
  • Ensure Adherence to SG Internal Control Reference Framework
  • Ensure continuous learning for the team through planned training and development
  • Comply with service level agreements in consultation with end users
  • Comply with department and company policies including the Saint Gobain Code of Conduct
  • Recommend a bad debt reserve sufficient to cover anticipated customer defaults and/or assume month end reporting responsibilities
  • Must be willing to occasionally be on call during US Holidays to release non-US orders that are on credit hold

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 4-7 years’ experience in credit & collections and/or Accounting/Finance experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is required.
  • Credit/Collections Certification is preferred.
  • Understanding of finance, internal control processes, bankruptcy, creditor rights, credit insurance, A/R and related reserves is required.
  • Financial Statement Analysis experience is required.
  • SAP, QAD and GetPaid knowledge is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLookups, Pivot Tables, Sumif, etc.) is required as is extensive experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Aptitude to learn and adapt to new technology and productivity tools is required.
  • This position may require some very limited travel at times, when travel restrictions are lifted.
