Work you’ll do

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior, Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team and help us build technical solutions for our partnerships business.

In this role, you will be responsible for using your deep understanding of partnership tax to evaluate organizational needs and recommend suitable technical solutions by overseeing the development, testing, and implementation of these solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business and technical leaders to deliver, maintain, and support business solutions
  • Oversee the development, testing, and implementation of technical solutions to ensure that solutions meet defined requirements
  • Test application for compliance with standards, procedures, and methodologies. Identify and proposes opportunities for improvement
  • Manage relationships with outside vendors
  • Document processes and disseminate information to all relevant stakeholders
  • Communicate operations and maintenance status or issues to management and business stakeholders
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to business stakeholders, sharing your specialized knowledge of partnership tax and technical solutions
  • Document processes and disseminate information to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in resolving complex issues or coordination of necessary technology resources to expedite service restoration

The team

Deloitte Tax LLP's Tax Transformation team is responsible for the development and deployment of technology, tools, and standard processes to support the delivery of Tax services. The team is focused on enhancing Deloitte Tax LLP's ability to deliver comprehensive, value-added, and efficient Tax services to our clients. It is a dynamic team with professionals of varying backgrounds from tax technical, technology development, change management, Six Sigma, and project management. The team consults and executes on a wide range of initiatives involving process and tool development and implementation including training development, engagement management, tool design and implementation.

Qualifications 

Required:

  • Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week
  • 3+ years of professional services or technology-related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

  • Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA

  • Knowledge of partnership tax, tax compliance, partnership tax preparation software, and tax technology
  • Knowledge of systems and software to optimally integrate subject expertise in software solution designs
  • Exceptional leadership and mentorship abilities to introduce and implement technical solutions
  • Excellent recordkeeping, as well as written and verbal communication skills

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,920 to $184,210. 

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
