Kitchen Line cook to prepare food to the restaurant’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the kitchen lead and other line cooks with their daily tasks. The chosen candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and successful event catering.
Location: Platte River State Park in Louisville, Nebraska
Examples of Work
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies. Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables or preparing salads.) Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Prepare and transport privately catered events to group lodging facilities. Clean up station and assist with dishwasher responsibilities. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: One year of experience working in a recreational area, scenic attraction, hospitality, historical, retail, or customer service setting, or related coursework/training.
OTHER: May also require valid driver's license and ability to obtain a Food Handler's Permit. Must be at least 18 years of age for positions that operate various types of powered equipment and machinery.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook. Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures, Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. Familiar with industry’s best restaurant practices.
