Job Description:

This position within the Global Technology Organization (GTO) is focused on creating, maintaining and improving the next generation Devops version tools infrastructure for Broadcom's software development teams.

Candidates will be responsible for supporting the needs of multiple product DevOps Teams and organizations across Broadcom while enhancing and supporting the underlying software development framework and tools used to build, deliver and deploy software products globally. The ability to balance requirements gathering, problem solving and development processes make for a dynamic role that leverages the breadth of your skills in communication, coding, testing and teamwork to solve challenging problems in creative ways that ultimately helps drive the product development process forward in support of the strategic goal of a standardized, reusable CI/CD pipeline on a rationalized tool stack.

Requirements:

  • Subject matter expert on version control tools such as Perforce or GIT
  • Real world experience with managing large scale version control system backend infrastructure. Knowledge of build pipelines and related tooling as well as a deep understanding of DevOps principles
  • Experience with Perforce , GitHub, Gitlab is a must.
  • Experience running evaluations/poc’s Experience/exposure to product support and operations
  • Team player with the ability to adapt and embrace change
  • Strong, broad knowledge and interest in the rapidly changing DevSecOps space
  • DevSecOps focused with strong SDLC process knowledge
  • Familiar with supply chain security challenges, product development, potential threats, networking and threat modeling
  • Aware of industry trends in the space
  • Tools familiarity including dev tools and environments like Jira, Artifactory, SonarQube, BlackDuck, Jenkins
  • Forward thinking with excellent communication skills and ability to contribute ideas and technical improvement
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and resolve problems at all levels.
  • Ability to gather and aggregate requirements from many groups and distill them into a generic form
  • Application architecture and development awareness including modern software development & deployment patterns
  • Cloud background
  • Working knowledge of GCP
  • Familiar with containerization and Kubernetes (networking and storage experience preferred) Automation focused thinker with skills to script/develop/debug tool integrations
  • Big picture thinker with a first principles style
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • 12+ years related experience.

Plus:

  • Knowledge of Jfrog or Synopsys
  • Test management tools
  • Knowledge of SLSA Framework (Salsa)
  • Understanding of DORA metrics and observability principles Helm & Terraform
  • Working with CI platforms and tools
  • Experience working in highly available environment

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $111,000 - $210,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
